—RALPH PUCCI x ELIZABETH GAROUSTE—
los angeles, California. 2021
On November 18th, Ralph Pucci Los Angeles held its first in-person gallery opening since February 2020. Co-hosted by Mayer Rus of Architectural Digest, the event marked French designer Elizabeth Garouste’s West Coast debut.
Inspired by the intersection of disparate materials and ideas, Garouste’s work explores Hellenistic symbols, traditional fabrics from the United Kingdom and simple childhood pleasures to create a uniquely “Garoustian” universe that is joyful, unusual and sophisticated.
L.A.-based photographer Marjorie Salvaterra also debuted Shine, a series of 15 new black-and-white works that include small shimmering embellishments. In true Ralph Pucci fashion, the evening featured a dance performance choreographed by Holly Rothschild of String Theory Harp.
More than 275 guests enjoyed the celebration at the 12,500-square-foot gallery, including artists, top designers and their clients [Business of Home].
